Privacy policy
Effective 23 October 2026.
Glidechart is a PT chart and superheat/subcool calculator for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by 8086 LLC (“we”). This policy covers the Glidechart app and this website.
In short
- Glidechart has no account and no sign-in.
- It collects no data. We never receive what you type, and nothing in the app is sent to us or to anyone else.
- It has no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDK.
- It works with no network connection.
What stays on your phone
Glidechart reads every value on your phone, from a table it carries. A few things are kept in the app’s own storage on your phone so it opens the way you left it, and they are never sent anywhere by the app:
- the readings you type;
- the refrigerant you last chose;
- whether you have dismissed the first-open card;
- a count of the sessions you have used it, so the system’s rating prompt is not shown too early;
- on iPhone and iPad, the names of the five refrigerants in Spotlight on your device, so a search for “R-454B” can open Glidechart (nothing about you is in it);
- on Android, the icon’s shortcuts to the refrigerants you used most recently.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. When you copy a reading, it goes to your phone’s clipboard, and where you paste it is up to you.
What goes through Apple or Google
- Age range. Where the law requires it, Glidechart asks your phone’s app store once, at first launch, for your age range: Apple’s Declared Age Range on iPhone and iPad, Google Play’s Age Signals on Android. The answer stays on your phone, Glidechart sends it nowhere, and nothing in the app depends on it.
- The rating prompt is the store’s own. Glidechart only asks the system to show it.
- Downloads and updates come from the App Store or Google Play, under Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies.
- Crash reports. If you have chosen in your phone’s settings to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may send us crash reports and app statistics. They come from Apple or Google, not from Glidechart, and Glidechart adds nothing to them, because it holds no account or personal details.
Accounts and deleting your data
There is no account to delete, and we hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete or to send you. To remove everything Glidechart keeps on your phone, delete the app.
Children
Glidechart is a tool for HVAC/R technicians and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Selling or sharing
We do not sell or share personal information, because we collect none.
This website
This site is hosted by GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or scripts of ours. GitHub may log the address of a visit for security, under GitHub’s privacy statement.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. A change that would collect any data would come with a new version of the app and its store privacy labels first.
