1. License Grant
When you purchase Oathcard, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your own devices. This is a one-time purchase that grants you lifetime access to use the app on devices you own.
2. Permitted Use
You may use Oathcard for personal study and test preparation. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app or its content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app's source code
- Redistribute, sell, rent, lease, or transfer the app or your license
- Use the app for any commercial purpose or public display
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice
3. Content Accuracy
Oathcard includes the official USCIS 2025 civics question bank and state officials data sourced from government records. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate and current.
However, the official USCIS materials are authoritative. If you notice any discrepancy between the app and official USCIS sources, the USCIS materials take precedence. For the most current civics materials, always refer to uscis.gov directly.
4. Not an Official Resource
Oathcard is an independent app developed by 8086 LLC. It is not created by, endorsed by, or affiliated with USCIS, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Homeland Security, or the U.S. government.
5. No Warranty
Oathcard is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The app will be compatible with all devices or future OS versions
- Studying with the app will guarantee a passing score on the official USCIS test
- The app will prepare you for interview questions beyond the civics test
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 8086 LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use Oathcard, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Data and Privacy
Oathcard collects zero user data. The app keeps only a few settings on your device (your chosen state, your unlock and the small markers the Privacy Policy lists). See the Privacy Policy for complete details.
8. Intellectual Property
App and Design: Oathcard's design, code, and user interface are owned by 8086 LLC and protected by copyright.
USCIS Content: The civics questions and materials from USCIS are in the public domain as works of the U.S. government.
Government Data: State officials' information sourced from government records is public information.
9. Termination
Your license to use Oathcard continues indefinitely unless terminated. We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease use of the app.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Washington. By using Oathcard, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of courts in Washington State.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Entire Agreement
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 8086 LLC regarding Oathcard and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements.
